Our modern root console table is a combination of rustic and modern. The linear metal frame is hand forged from thick metal. Reclaimed Chamcha roots are cut and shaped into an artistic centrepiece. The metal is painted black adding to the contemporary character. Modern rustic may be an oxymoron, but none the less, this design embodies the spirit and character of both.
These sumptuous pieces of solid Chamcha root are carved and sanded to a smooth, touchable finish. The raw root is salvaged from areas under development where the roots are extracted from the earth and either burned as refuse or transformed into art making it very environmentally friendly.
Disclaimer: No two Console Tables will ever be the same. Variation in wood grain (that are not defects) is a natural characteristic of timber that must be accepted.
